Pastor Don Scheuerlein Pastor Don Scheuerlein has served as a pastor at Christ Alone (formerly Calvary) since 1989. Born and raised in Michigan, Pastor Scheuerlein pursued his studies for the ministry at Northwestern College (Watertown, WI) and graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary (Mequon, WI) in 1982 with a Master of Divinity degree. He has since earned a Masters of Sacred Theology, also from WLS.

Pastor Scheuerlein’s previous ministry experiences include serving as a vicar (a pastoral intern) in Bloomington, MN; as a tutor and dean at his high school alma mater, Michigan Lutheran Seminary; and as a pastor at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm, MN. Pastor Scheuerlein’s responsibilities at Christ Alone involve him regularly in visitation ministry and adult Bible classes, as well as regular preaching, teaching, counseling and worship planning.

God has blessed Pastor Scheuerlein with his bride, Amy, and given them seven children. The Scheuerlein’s enjoy traveling the country together, camping, hunting, sports and experiencing all the different blessings God pours out on them.

Pastor Kurt Ebert began serving as associate pastor at Christ Alone (formerly Calvary) in December 2010. He grew up just a few miles south of Thiensville in Glendale and was blessed to receive Christian education at North Trinity Lutheran Church and School. He then attended Northwestern Preparatory School and Northwestern College and graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 1985.

Pastor Ebert was called to begin a congregation (Living Hope Lutheran) in Omaha, NE, and then served St. Peter's Lutheran in Fond du Lac, WI.; For thirteen years, Pastor Ebert pastored Abiding Word in Highlands Ranch, CO before accepting the call here. At Christ Alone, Pastor Ebert focuses especially on evangelism, stewardship training, youth Bible classes and work with the school, besides pastoral counseling and visitation.

The Lord has blessed Pastor Ebert with his wife, Connie, and given them four children. Connie is a degreed teacher and especially enjoys working with youth. The Eberts also enjoy camping, hiking, cross-country skiing and many outdoor activities.
